Provenance works with organizations and individuals navigating the ethical and regulatory dimensions of emerging technologies.
About
Provenance is a consulting practice built by Ryan Vasquez: an AI governance consultant, ethicist, and writer working at the intersection of emerging technology, policy, and human-centered systems.
With a background in philosophy, an MA in Ethics and Emerging Technology from Fordham University, and international certification as an AI Governance Professional, Ryan brings both rigorous theoretical grounding and hands-on consulting, organizing, and administrative experience to the work at Provenance.
Work
Two interconnected practices: governance frameworks that protect organizations, and education that builds lasting AI literacy.
Provenance helps organizations understand their obligations and opportunities under emerging AI legislation, including the EU AI Act, US state and federal frameworks, and sector-specific regulation. Engagements range from risk assessments to comprehensive governance documents and internal policy development.
Powered by Compass AI, a survey-driven tool that maps your organization's AI footprint and returns concrete governance recommendations.
Launch Compass AIThe gap between access to AI tools and knowing how to use them responsibly is significant. Provenance offers workshops, one-on-one consulting, and organizational training designed to close that gap for companies, nonprofits, and individuals.
Emphasis on practical, ethical integration: not just what AI can do, but how to use it in ways that align with your values and mission.
